Craig Pesko began working as a K9 Police Officer in 1996, after developing the Police K9 program for the Pontiac Police Department. Craig has personally trained and handled (3) Narcotic/Utility Police K9’s for the City of Pontiac until 2011, when he joined The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, as a K9 Handler. Craig personally trained and is currently handling his (4th) Narcotic/Utility Police K9 for the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
Craig began his Police K9 training with the Midwest Michigan Police K9 Academy in 1996 and was certified as a Police K9 Decoy. In 1998, Craig became an Assistant Trainer and in 2000, he became a Trainer. From 2012 until 2014, Craig worked for Vigilant Canine Services International as a Regional Trainer. Craig joined Blue Line Police K-9 as a Trainer in 2015, and he is currently a Master Trainer for the National Association of Professional Canine Handlers and The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
